Health Advocates Network Client Care Aide in Denver, Colorado

Health Advocates Network is currently seeking a Client Care Aide to work at a facility in Denver, CO. These are registry positions with our company.

Pay Rate: $25 / hour

Shifts Details:

  • Full-time

  • Day 8am-4pm, Eve 3pm-11pm, or Night 10:30pm-8:30am (4x10hr)

  • Preferred start date: July 23 th 2024

Job Details:

This role requires a flexible schedule and the ability to work all shifts (Day: 8-4, Eve 3-11 and Night 10:30-8:30) - to ensure all employees are oriented on to complete all assigned duties on any shift/team. You will be working 5 days a week to fulfil 40 hours (or 4x10s if night shift).

Staffing needs vary month to month; this means that shift, day and team assignments may change depending on the needs of the hospital. For example, staff could be assigned one team for a month and switched to a different team or to float/pool the following month. The facility aims to give staff a consistent schedule based on their preference and availability, so shift (day/eve/night) assignments typically stay the same. It is important that staff are flexible to work on any team, any day of the week.

This position exists to deliver nursing care and therapeutic interventions under the supervision of a registered nurse. Client Care Aides provide nursing care, which often revolves around assistance with activities of daily living, self-maintenance, and hygiene. The main responsibilities include patient observation and reporting, assisting with patient care as directed, and unit maintenance and security.

Job Duties:

  • Responsible to administer nursing care, both psychiatric and medical crisis interventions under the direction and supervision of an RN.

  • Monitors the milieu for needed interventions.

  • Utilizes therapeutic interventions to manage crisis situations and management of assaultive and disruptive behaviors.

  • Promptly responds to patient's psychiatric and/or medical crisis.

  • Understands and practices knowledge of when to report changes in patient condition or complaints such as pain or other medical needs to the RN.

  • Maintains awareness of all 1:1, special precautions, and medical and psych issues for each patient. Responds to duress alarm.

  • Assures all assigned duties are complete and documented each shift.

  • Follows and maintains Infection control standards and regulations.

  • Responsible for CCA duties to possibly include changing linen, obtaining and documenting vital signs, bathing, feeding and other ADL care, lifting/turning/transferring patients.

  • Organizes time daily to assure timely completion of assigned tasks.

  • Learns, completes and maintains competency in patient care, including taking vital signs, patient hygiene and personal care.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Must have a Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

  • Must have 1yr of experience as a client or personal care aide, nurse aide, or other relevant role

  • Must have a High School Diploma or General Educational Diploma (GED)
