Position Summary
The Speech Therapist assists patients in the restoration or development of swallowing, speech and communication functions through evaluation and treatment.
General job duties. Types of procedures required.
Outpatient (peds to adults) and inpatient bedside swallow studies/treatments, video swallows (max 2-3/week)
Equipment utilized in the unit/dept.
EPIC documentation system
Required skills and minimum years of experience.
ability and willingness to see pediatrics to adults
Specific licensures and certifications/registrations required.
CPR, VFSS
Shift or schedule requirements.
This person will be the only speech therapist at our rural hospital. Will work 9-530 M-R and 8-430 Friday
Floating to other units/departments.
Will always remain in the same department but will be in different locations.
Bed size/number of rooms for this unit/dept.
25 bed critical access hospital and in outpatient facility

Tell us about the unit/department specific training and orientation program.
We have a 3 month onboarding to assist with documentation/navigation of hospital and 3 PRN speech therapists that are very helpful when needed.
