Health Advocates Network IR Tech in Sioux Falls, South Dakota

1.General job duties. Types of procedures required.

Provides high quality images, to include sophisticate special procedures, through the operation of specialized equipment which ensures optimum clarity for physician diagnosis and minimum discomfort and radiation exposure to patients. Thoroughly understands the operation of the interventional equipment and supplies, diagnostic radiographic principles, including film/imaging processing, quality control, and radiation protection.

Procedures: mesenteric angios, cerebral angios, embolizations, carotid stenting, aneurysm repair, stroke interventions, port a caths, neph tubes, gall bladder drains, vertebroplasty, epidurals, trans jugular liver biopsy, Y-90's, IVC filters, pleural drains,

2.Equipment utilized in the unit/dept. (Is there computerized charting, medication systems, etc.)

EPIC EMR, Acudose-medication dispensing unit

Siemens Biplane, Philips Biplane and Client single plane

3.Required skills and minimum years of experience.

Neuro Interventional Background preferred, 2 years experience in IR

4.Specific licensures and certifications/registrations required. (ARRT, CRT, BLS, ACLS, etc)

5.Shift or schedule requirements. (Will the employee ever work alone? Is call required? If so, how often? Are weekends required?)

Work alone, on call nights and weekends

6.Floating to over units/departments. (If so, to which units/departments?)

7.Bed size/number of rooms for this unit/dept.

2 Biplane IR suites

1 Single plane IR suite

8.Nurse to patient ratio of this unit. (nursing only)

9.Dress Code:

Hospital provided scrubs

10.Tell us about the unit/department specific training and orientation program.

1-2 weeks orientation depending on experience
