Health Advocates Network PHLEBOTOMIST in Soledad, California

Health Advocates Network is currently seeking a Phlebotomist to work at a Facility in Soledad , California. These are registry positions with our company.

Pay Rate: $20 / hour

Job Details:

  • M-F 6am-2:30pm

Minimum Qualifications:

  • At least one year (12 months) of experience within the last 36 months (3yrs) in Phlebotomy

  • Must have up to date credentials in the state of CA

  • A valid and current CPR card (American Heart Association)

  • Ability to build rapport with patients

  • Compassionate and caring demeanor

  • Familiarity with medical terminology

Job Responsibilities (not limited to):

  • Collect and store blood samples from patients

  • Distribute samples to designated departments

  • Monitor storage and inventory of supplies

  • Maintain clean and healthy work environment

  • Adhere to laboratory safety policies and procedures

  • Practice proper patient identification

  • Label vials with patient names and dates

  • Decipher the best method for drawing blood depending on the specific patient

  • Expect to work with many patients varying in age and health status

  • Be friendly, courteous and sympathetic when it comes to working with patients

  • Keep your phlebotomy cart or station well-organized

  • Practice infection control standards at all times when working with patients and equipment
